Deathmatch Barber Series Part 1

My first "actual" Barber Beats album. Chopped & Screwed lounge/downtempo/dance beats dowsed in effects.

"Deathmatch Wrestling" in a nutshell is a form of professional wrestling where wrestlers attempt to inflict the most amount of pain on their opponent as possible through the use of various weapons in a brutal, bloody and sometimes even gory spectacle. FMW would be one of the first wrestling promotions to start having hardcore/original deathmatches and since then has been taken to the extreme by many promotions over the years to include the use of many different weapons such as lighttubes, gusset plates, kenzan, glass panes, thumbtacks and many more uniquely handmade weapons by the crews and fans alike. Deathmatch wrestling has an extremely unique and controversial history but I think the amount of passion and heart the people that do this have is beautiful. "Deathmatch is Art" is a commonly used phrase in the scene, this album is my love letter to them.

The main piece of the artwork comes from BJW's Bloody Musou Tournament 2022 Semi Final Abdullah Kobayashi vs. Daiju Wakamatsu in a Fluorescent Lighttubes Deathmatch
